Pokhara

Lake Side Tourist Street

Pokhara 33700, Nepal

Description:

All life in Pokhara, one way or another, revolves around the lake area. Lakeside is the main street of the city, on which are all the essentials for tourists. It's always noisy and crowded. And a little further on the shores of the lake is the area where it is best to rent housing. Located between ancient temples here is very cozy and from the balconies offers a magnificent view of the Himalayas. In Lake Side, everyone will find something interesting.

The main street of Pokhara is a kind of transit point for all tourists. Near the lake, you can rent a house or room for a ridiculous $2-5 per day. You can rent a room in one of the hotels that are located on the street adjacent to LakeSide. The first encounter with Nepal begins here. Numerous restaurants of Nepali and Tibetan cuisine are not to everyone’s taste, so you can find a decent restaurant with European, Chinese, Israeli or Indian cuisine. A standard breakfast on LakeSide is two eggs, bread with jelly, potato pancakes, tomatoes and cucumbers, and coffee or tea. It all costs about 75 cents.

After breakfast, tourists go on excursions. On LakeSide, you can rent a scooter and travel on your own, or choose from many offers. The closest to Pokhara is the Tibetan village, which can be reached by yourself. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate paragliding clubs and hiking in the nearby Annapurna Mountains.
