Compiled top of the best Russian ski resorts
Analytical Agency Turstat has prepared a rating of resorts that are considered the most popular for ski holidays.
They became the Krasnodar Territory, the Moscow Region, the Leningrad Region, the North Caucasus Federal District, the Kemerovo Region.
The top is based on the analysis of the popularity of resorts among travelers, the quality of skiing trails, their accessibility and safety.
According to the agency, the ski resorts Rosa Khutor and Gorki Gorod in Krasnaya Polyana (Krasnodar Territory) will be visited by 1.3 million people in the winter of 2018-2019. The Sheregesh ski resort in the Kemerovo region will welcome more than 1 million people.
The top ten most high-quality resorts in Russia for skiing and snowboarding were: the Sorochany complex (Dmitrov district of the Moscow region), Dombay (Karachay-Cherkessia), the Beaver Log fanpark (Krasnoyarsk), the Elbrus resort in Kabardino-Balkaria, Igor (Leningrad region), the Solar Valley (Chelyabinsk region), Sviyazhsky Hills (Tatarstan) and the Belaya region complex.
According to experts, more than 4 million people in Russia ski and snowboard in three hundred ski resorts and complexes. The number of fans of these winter sports in Russia is growing by 10% every year, the agency notes.
