Experts of the tourism industry report that the majority of Russian tourists (73%) on March 8 will spend abroad, and 27% – at home.
A year ago, it was the opposite: 70% of tourists vacationed at home. At the same time, tours are selling 56% more actively than a year ago.
At the top of foreign destinations. Egypt. UAE. Thailand and Sri Lanka. The average check for foreign trips compared to 2022 increased by 45-65%, in Russia – by 5-13%.
The growth in demand for foreign destinations this year is due to the availability of tours: coved restrictions were lifted in South and Southeast Asia.
How prices have changed
Compared to 2022, the average check for holidays in Egypt increased by 65% and exceeded 146 thousand rubles. In the UAE - an increase of 44%, to 195.6 thousand rubles, in Turkey - by 49%, to 96.4 thousand rubles.
In Russia, the price increase was almost not felt – the average check increased by 5% – 40.1 thousand rubles.
Demanded routes in the country - Krasnodar Territory, Kavminvody, Moscow region, St. Petersburg.
Tourists are ready to spend more on vacation, but the growth of the check confirms the increase in the cost of tourist services.
The reasons for the increase in prices for holidays abroad are the limited number of destinations available to Russians, the shortage of air transportation, the increase in flight time and the need to make a transfer.
The rise in prices of foreign holidays was affected by the growth of the exchange rate: over the winter, the ruble lost more than 30% of its value against the dollar and the euro.

The same number of days in the UAE can be for 43 thousand rubles per person (in a four-star hotel with breakfast), 7 days on a daily basis. Maldives - 75,000.

Black Sea - hotel "three stars" with breakfast can go for a week for just 13 thousand rubles per person.
Golden ring - the average cost of the trip - from 2 thousand to 8.5 thousand rubles per person.
Rest in the ski resorts. 3 days on Krasnaya Polyana - at least 60 thousand rubles per person. In St. Petersburg for 3-4 days you need to give 18 thousand.
