Iceberg glorified the whole world small town of Canada
Ferryland (Ferryland) - a small town located in Canada, on the island of Newfoundland, has become the object of incredible attention of tourists. The reason was a huge iceberg, one of the first of this season.
Usually, huge blocks are trapped by sea ice, this process lasts until the end of spring or early summer, but it seems that this iceberg has run aground, and will stay in one place for a long time, Mayor Adrian Kavanagh said.
The area off the coast of the Antarctic Ocean is known as the "Iceberg Alley" because of the large number of ice blocks drifting out of the Arctic each spring.
According to local residents, the iceberg is stuck on the ground and gradually changes its shape, but will remain a “model” for tourists with cameras for a long time.
The height of the iceberg at the highest point is about 46 meters - the height of the block of ice that led to the collapse of the Titanic in 1912 was 16 meters less. Old residents note that such a huge iceberg off the coast of the island is seen for the first time.
