Archaeological excavations in Tobolsk

In town. tobolsk On the Bazaar Square of Nizhny Posad ended archaeological excavations, which were conducted since July.

During this time, massive retail shops, items of utensils, remains of porcelain and faience dishes, elements of jewelry, bone products, parts of fabrics, local production and imported ones, as well as coins dating from the 18th-19th centuries have already been found.

One of the latest finds was precious rings. They were melted, which suggests that the Russian estate (it was located on this place in the early 18th century) was badly damaged in the fire.

Local residents actively contributed to the work of scientists: they helped with equipment and labor.
