Armenia Updates Mandatory Conditions Required for Entry

One of the important innovations is that children under 7 years old do not need certificates and tests (previously it was up to 1 year old).

Tourists, as before, are offered the choice of providing one of two documents:

Certificate of negative COVID-19 PCR test not earlier than 72 hours prior to entry

- Certificate of full vaccination against COVID-19 in dosages determined in accordance with the instructions for the use of a specific vaccine (Armenia recognizes Sputnik V and other vaccines in Russia).

Novelty: certificates and tests are not required for children under the age of 7 years.

Previously, Russians were able to provide printed and electronic versions of certificates and certificates (electronic had to be a QR code), but now the government of Armenia has established only one way for them.

From September 8, tourists entering Armenia from Russia must present vaccination certificates or PCR test results through the mobile application “Travel without COVID-19”.

In accordance with the decree of the Government of Armenia, certificates of a negative PCR test result for incoming tourists should be in Armenian, Russian or English.

For vaccination certificates, the name of the manufacturer of the vaccine and the serial number of the product, the dates of the first and second doses, the name and surname of the vaccinated person being checked, the number of the identity card or social insurance card, the individual number of the state health insurance or the number of the single identification certificate.

Tourists entering the territory of Armenia who have not provided a negative PCR test result or a vaccination certificate will pay for the PCR test themselves at the airport or other border crossing points, and will go on forced self-isolation until they receive a negative test result.
