Airlines demand government and FAS to regulate fuel prices

Representatives of airlines are going to scare the government with a forecast of a significant increase in the cost of air tickets in the event that fuel prices continue to rise.

The Association of Air Transport Operators (AEVT) asked Deputy Prime Minister M. Akimov to influence against the growth of fuel prices. Experts believe that aviation fuel has become more expensive than all types of fuel in Russia.

Experts believe that during holidays, problems with rising fuel prices put in a difficult position almost all representatives of the travel market, "tied" with transport - charter programs and river cruises.

In the current situation, the tourism industry has to rely only on government support.

In the letter published on the website of AEVT, there are indicators: the index reflecting the dynamics of changes in the exchange prices of fuel for jet engines at major airports of the aviation hub of Moscow (UIA), increased by 2Z.4%, to 43 thousand rubles / ton. Representatives of airlines believe that the current pricing policy of aviation kerosene manufacturers and refueling companies can lead to unpopular measures of “compensatory nature through the introduction of an additional fuel fee to the tariffs, which will certainly adversely affect the availability of air transportation for consumers.”

The increase in prices and their “direction” lead to a misunderstanding of the travel market. “Hero of the day” was recently the airport of Simferopol, he increased the cost of fuel from 41.5 thousand rubles. /ton of kerosene - up to 50 thousand rubles, and 1.5-2 times the cost of maintenance.
