Russia cancels free meals on flights of less than five hours

On January 27, the press service of Rossiya Airlines reported that all charter flights lasting less than five hours were canceled meals. The officially declared goal is to curb the growth of prices for vouchers.

The Carrier informs that the Tour Operator Biblio-Globus and Rossiya Airlines, in order to contain the growth of the cost of the joint integrated tourist product, have decided to adjust the food list included in the cost of transportation.

From March 1, passengers will be provided with soft drinks, tea and coffee on flights of Rossiya FV5501-FV5949 up to 5 hours inclusive.

The decision to reduce the list of catering is based on a study of passenger demand and requests of travelers to the airline and tour operator - most passengers are ready to abandon services and services in favor of a lower cost.

Passengers will be offered paid meals in the "extended version" - 5 new sets, including vegetarian.

For business classes and flights longer than five hours, meals will not change. Flight to the most popular tourist destinations of Biblio Globus - Turkey and Cyprus - lasts less than five hours.

Since June 1, 2019, Azur Air has adopted similar rules to maintain the cost of transportation at the same level.
