What is ready to surprise tourists Yakutia?
In Yakutia, industrial tourism is developing within the framework of the Treasures of Yakutia strategy. Tourists will be able to see diamond mining and the process of sewing coats.
Yakutia was the first Russian region to present a series of unique tourism products. The program "Treasures of Yakutia" includes visits to the enterprises of the mining industry - the diamond mining company "ALROSA", the coal holding "Kolmar", and the development centers of traditional crafts of the republic (jewelry, fur products, dishes) and local enterprises of the food industry.
This was reported to journalists by the Director of the Agency for Tourism Development and Territorial Marketing of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Natalia Tyukavkina at a presentation at the representative office of the Republic in Moscow.
The project was implemented within the framework of the agreement between Yakutia and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) at Innoprom 2020. About 50 companies will be ready to receive guests at their facilities by the end of 2021, 11 at the beginning of the spring-summer season.
Tourists will be able to get acquainted with production processes, traditions of making national fur clothes and shoes, national ornaments, take part in tastings and master classes, see collections of ancient jewelry.
The innovative sector and IT technologies will become a special direction of industrial tourism of the republic, because the region is the leader of the Far East in terms of export of IT services (85%). In the IT-park "Yakutsk" tourists can visit companies that are at different stages of development, see their developments.
The new tourist product will be launched in May, on the eve of the national holiday of Yakutia - Ysyakh. This is the holiday of the coming of summer, which is celebrated on June 21. The republic is confident that the development of industrial tourism will increase the flow of tourists in the upcoming summer season.
