What do Russians buy as they prepare for a pandemic vacation?

The main purchases of Russian tourists, who hope for the soon lifting of restrictions imposed on the background of the coronavirus pandemic and are preparing to resume trips, have been revealed. This is reported in the results of a survey service OneTwoTrip.

During the isolation regime, 38.2% of Russians continued to purchase goods for potential vacations.

29.4% bought clothes for walks and photo shoots in a new place, 20.7% - swimsuits, beach umbrellas, litter, 20.1% - new suitcases.

14% of users purchased special equipment for active tourism - suits, shoes, backpacks, equipment for hiking, mountaineering, diving.

15.2% were concerned about buying cosmetic travel kits, which include mini-liquid containers and disposable personal care items.

“More than half of the users, 62.6 per cent, are not buying the items they need for a holiday because they have decided to do so closer to the trip.” So, they assume that they will still go on a trip and just wait for the moment when it becomes known for sure, the press service of the service said.

On May 29, it became known that the Russian Foreign Ministry urged Russians to temporarily refrain from planning vacations abroad, and reorient themselves to rest inside the country.
