The Tree of War

On February 2, at the Lake of Tears on Mamayev Kurgan, a solemn rally will be held dedicated to the 68th anniversary of the celebration of the Victory of Soviet troops in the Battle of Stalingrad. The meeting will be attended by the heads of the administration of the region and the city volgogradVeterans of the Great Patriotic War, representatives of youth public organizations, military-patriotic clubs, search teams, residents and guests of the city - all those who care about the memory of those who died in the name of the Motherland, in the name of freedom, in the name of life. There will be plenty of them!!! Awe for the Motherland in the hearts of many people still lives. On memorable dates, people carry flowers to the graves of heroes, people lay wreaths at memorials, live with hope and faith in a bright peaceful future.
And from year to year pass the baton to the next generation. So this year, when leaving the Pantheon of Glory, a “tree of war” will be installed. Created from rusty rods, as if covered with the ashes of battles, it will personify the suffering, destruction, destruction that war brings. Visual perception of a particle of the past always hurts, and allows you to think. Everyone will be given green ribbons, which can be tied to the branches of the symbolic composition. These man-made “leaflets” will help “bloom” the “tree of life”.
At the end of the solemn rally at the Lake of Tears, the final stage of the Victory Line action will begin: a thousand scarlet balls will soar from the hands of participants into the sky in memory of the great feat of the defenders of Stalingrad. At the same time, balls will be launched from all tank towers installed on pedestals at different ends of Volgograd, along the so-called forward line of defense.
