Days from October 30 to November 7 declared non-working
Russian President Vladimir Putin supported the idea of introducing non-working days from October 20 to November 7 with the preservation of wages to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection.
“It is now particularly important to bring down the peak of the new wave of the epidemic. In this regard, taking into account the current situation, I certainly support your proposal, dear colleagues, to declare non-working days throughout the country with the preservation of wages for workers in the period from October 30 to November 7 inclusive, he said at a meeting with government members.
He also allowed regions to increase the number of non-working days until October 30 or after November 7, depending on the development of the situation with the incidence of COVID-19.
“Or, if necessary, extend these non-working days beyond November 7.”
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a proposal to introduce a non-working day regime in the country from October 30 to November 7 inclusive.
