Expert advises fashionable way to travel on the Golden Ring

Natalia Bulakh, Executive Director of the Union for the Development and Interaction of the Golden Ring Cities, said that the format of City Break travel, when tourists visit only one of the cities of the Golden Ring on weekends, has great potential.

She noted that about 60% of those traveling on the Golden Ring are individual tourists. Most are family members between 28 and 40 years old.

“...people go to the nearest cities for the weekend. And most often they go there not for educational purposes, but to feel the atmosphere of the city. They go to cult cafes, nightclubs, shops or just walk.”

The Golden Ring is suitable for a short-term atmospheric holiday, as few tourists make a trip to all nine cities of the route at once.

According to the expert, the promotion process is especially important. Mobile applications with audio guides, online and offline routes, guides on social, cultural, household, leisure facilities are being developed.

We believe that there should be a single information system for all cities of the Golden Ring and expect that there will be a certain Internet platform where you can independently form your individual journey, taking into account places where you can stay, eat, visit, etc.
