Philippines Announces Opening to Tourists in 'Next Time'

Tourism Minister Berna Romulo-Puyat said tourists from “clean” countries and territories where the majority of the population is vaccinated and infection rates are consistently low will be allowed to enter the country. Philippines without quarantine.

“This move will help build consumer confidence and, on the other hand, drive growth in our gross domestic product.”

Entry into the country will only be allowed to tourists who have received vaccines recognized by the Philippine Food and Drug Administration or approved by the World Health Organization.

The ad hoc technical working group on travel is currently finalizing a roadmap for approval.

There are 44 countries and territories on the Philippines’ green list, up from 49 a month ago. Russia is not among the safe ones, it is included in the “yellow” list.

This means that our tourists vaccinated with Satellite V (and other domestic vaccines are not approved by the Philippine public health service) must serve a 10-day quarantine upon arrival. The first part is in a paid observatory. On the fifth day, it is proposed to take a PCR test, and if the result is negative, you can move to a hotel booked in advance. The minimum booking period for all foreigners is 6 days.

As for those who did not have time to fully vaccinate, they are waiting for 14 days of strict quarantine without options.
