Experts of the resource Level.Travel found out what the tourist offer in Russian resorts differs from Turkey, and what tourists value.
The average check for trips to the Crimea in the summer of 2020 is 42,500 rubles, in Sochi - 50 thousand rubles, to Turkey - 108,860 rubles.
81% of travelers who stayed in Turkey in August chose four- and five-star hotels. In Sochi, high-end hotels could afford 8% of Russians, in Crimea – 2%.
In the resorts of Turkey there are several thousand "four" and "five", and in Sochi and Crimea - less than 50 hotels "five stars" and more than a hundred - the category "four stars".
Most tourists in Sochi choose to stay in the "three stars" (31%), and tourists in Crimea in 70% of cases lived in guest houses and recreation centers without stars.
Hotel category is not the only difference between resorts. Most of the company’s customers in Turkey (92%) choose tours with all-inclusive or ultra all-inclusive meals, while in Sochi and Crimea, only 1% of such vacationers choose tours.
At domestic resorts, accommodation without food is in demand: in Sochi, this option is booked by 45% of tourists, in Crimea - 56%.
