Consulate General of Italy will issue visas to Russian tourists with expired documents

The Consulate General of Italy in Moscow reports that Russians whose Italian visas expired from January 1, 2020 to the present, will be able to apply for new tourist documents from May 3.

The validity of newly issued visas will begin on a date not earlier than 1 June 2021. Due to current security restrictions during the COVID pandemic, the visa issuance period may be up to 10 working days, and the standard requirements for the required package of documents may be partially modified (e.g. for the submission of air tickets and/or hotel reservations).

The Consulate General stressed that holders of Schengen tourist visas do not have the right to enter Italy or the Schengen countries.
