Ski holidays in Russia: named top destinations
Experts have identified popular regions for skiing and areas that can become new centers of attraction for ski lovers.
Early booking of hotels for New Year’s dates in popular ski resorts for the year has almost doubled.
In the Perm region of tourists receives more than 20 ski complexes, the largest and most famous of them - "Gubakha". Popular "Takman", "Polazna", "Ivan-Gora", "Ashatli Park", "Grades".
In the Krasnoyarsk Territory rise the ridges of the Eastern and Western Sayans and Kuznetsk Alatau. Snow often lies there until the end of April. Ski complexes are located in the natural park "Ergaki", as well as in the vicinity of Divnogorsk, near Kansk and Krasnoyarsk.
Most of the Kola Peninsula is located behind the Arctic Circle, and the season lasts a long time, from November to May. In the region - more than ten ski complexes: in Murmansk - "Ogni Murmansk", "Nord Star", in Apatity - "Sparrow Mountain", in Kandalaksha - "Cross Mountain", in Monchegorsk - "Lapar Stan".
The main center of ski tourism is Kirovsk with the complexes "Big Woodyavr" and "Kukisvumchorr".
In the Middle Urals, ski resorts are located both around Yekaterinburg: "Mount of the Wolf", "Piln Mountain", and in the vicinity of Nizhny Tagil ("Mount White", "Long Mountain"), Pervouralsk ("Mount Warm"), Kirovograd ("Ezhovaya Mountain").
There are more than ten ski complexes and bases in the region: "Holdomi", "Dersu", "Imka", "Pivan" and others. The most popular resorts are located around Komsomolsk-on-Amur, surrounded by hills and spurs of the Miao-Chan ridge, the Bajal ridge and the Sikhote-Alin mountain system. Snow cover here lasts from early November to late April.
One of the most popular resorts in the region "Holdomi" is a 40-minute drive from Komsomolsk-on-Amur. On the mountain with a height of 853 meters there are 16 trails of all categories of complexity with a total length of 25 kilometers and one tubing track. The maximum height difference is 500 meters.
