The state duty for the issuance of a passport will increase

The state Duma adopted in the second reading a bill that provides for the indexation of 20% of state duties for the issuance of a passport.

  • Deputies supported a number of amendments, including clarifying from July 1, 2024 the size of a number of state duties.
  • The state duty for the issuance of a passport increases to 6000 from 5000 rubles (with an electronic media – up to 3000 from 2.5 thousand rubles).
  • The state duty for issuing or extending the validity of a visa for entry into or exit from the Russian Federation will increase to 1.2 thousand from a thousand rubles, visas for multiple crossings of the state border - to 1.92 thousand from 1.6 thousand rubles.

What changes are waiting for the Russians?

  • The state fee for issuing an invitation to enter the Russian Federation will increase to 960 from 800 rubles;
  • residence permit – up to six thousand from five thousand rubles;
  • temporary residence permits – up to 1.92 thousand from 1.6 thousand rubles;
  • permits to attract and use foreign workers – up to 12 thousand from ten thousand rubles;
  • work permits for a foreign citizen or a stateless person, as well as for admission to Russian citizenship and withdrawal from it - up to 4.2 thousand from 3.5 thousand rubles.

The law will enter into force from the date of official publication, except for provisions for which other terms are set.
