Greece opens borders to tourists
Greece has started accepting tourists vaccinated with Russian Sputnik V and Chinese vaccine. Since May 14, the republic has lifted restrictions on the entry of foreign tourists.
Tourism Minister Haris Theoharis has confirmed that Greece recognizes the Sputnik V vaccination certificate. According to him, the document will be in digital format and in English — it meets all the requirements.
Greece and Russia have not yet reached an agreement on the opening of flights. Until May 14, Greek authorities limited the entry of Russians to a quota of four thousand people a week; Moscow has not yet allowed the opening of regular and charter flights.
Theoharis explained that there are very complex legal steps in concluding such agreements and it takes a long time.
