Khibiny: open ski complexes
Ski complexes in the Khibiny mountains (Kirovsk, Murmansk region) opened the season 2021-2022.
The season at Big Woodyavr began on November 17.
The second Kirov GC "Kukisvumchorr" began to receive skiers and snowboarders on the mountain of the same name on November 15.
On Wednesday, a panoramic restaurant LLC "Tirvas" opened on the top of the Aikuivenchorr mountain.
The ski season in the Khibiny begins in late November - early December and ends in May. In 2020, due to the pandemic, Big Woodyavr and Kukiswumchorr closed at the end of March.
To increase the duration of the ski season in the Khibiny introduced a system of artificial snow.
In 2020, the tourist flow to the Khibiny amounted to 146 thousand people (the tourist flow of the entire Murmansk region in 2020 - 350 thousand people), which is twice as much as in 2019.
