From Athens will start the first international sea cruise with Russians
In June, Russian tourists are waiting for the first international sea cruise, which departs from Greece on the Mediterranean Sea.
On June 19, the new Celebrity Apex 5* Lux cruise company Celebrity Cruises leaves Athens on its first cruise. It will gather an international composition of tourists, including Russians.
This is the first foreign cruise available to our compatriots. On May 15, Greece opened its doors to Russian tourists and began issuing visas.
Not all countries with major seaports have done so – Italy is still closed to Russians.

Greece lets Russian tourists on the results of PCR tests and other documents, boarding a liner starting from Athens is possible upon presentation of a certificate of full vaccination against COVID-19. Among the vaccines approved by the Greek government is Sputnik V.

As the cruise companies themselves explain, a fully vaccinated crew and tourists reduce the risk of spreading the epidemic.
Despite the availability of the vaccine, Healthy At Sea safety protocols adopted last year will operate on board, and guests and crew members will have to wear masks and observe a distance of 1.5 meters.
Masks are mandatory in all public areas, during excursions in the ports of disembarkation.
The cost of the 8-day Celebrity Apex 5* Lux cruise on June 19 is from $1,799 per person in a cabin without a balcony and from $2,299 in a cabin with a balcony.
The cost of the upcoming cruise includes a tip to the crew, which averages $ 105 per person, a package of Classic drinks with alcohol – on average, tourists spend $ 650 per person, as well as Wi-Fi on 2 Surf-level devices.
