The Cabinet of Ministers allowed citizens of 19 countries to obtain tourist visas in Russia for booking in hotels
The government allowed citizens of 19 countries to obtain entry visas to Russia for up to 6 months on the basis of hotel reservations.
In the order of the Cabinet of Ministers, which is posted on the official portal of legal information, it is reported: "... to approve the enclosed list of foreign countries, whose citizens are issued an ordinary tourist visa for up to 6 months, on the basis of confirmation of booking a place in a hotel or other accommodation facility, information about which is contained in a single list of classified hotels, ski slopes, beaches."
The list of countries whose citizens received the right to issue tourist visas for hotel reservations includes Bahrain, Brunei, India, Indonesia, Iran, Cambodia, China, North Korea, Kuwait, Laos, Malaysia, Mexico, Myanmar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Thailand, Turkey, the Philippines.
The new visa cutter will be introduced on March 5 – after the entry into force of 501-FZ of December 5, 2022, which makes appropriate amendments to the law “On the procedure for leaving the Russian Federation and entering the Russian Federation”.
