Experts shared information about which hotels Russians choose to relax in the New Year holidays.
Experts analyzed early bookings of tourist accommodation in Russia and found that the demand for five-star hotels for the year doubled, reaching 7% of the total number of applications.
The most popular among travelers were more affordable accommodation options - hotels without stars, which were chosen by 33% of holidaymakers. About 25% of tourists preferred “treshki” and “four”.
Notable growth is also observed in the segment of facilities with “home” amenities, such as the kitchen and washing machine. Demand for apartments increased by 127%, apartments by 64% and guest houses by 55%. Tourists, choosing housing with the ability to cook and wash independently, seek to save money in the face of rising prices.
The highest average check per night was recorded in country and resort hotels, amounting to 14.7 and 12.5 thousand rubles, respectively. A night in city hotels will cost an average of 9.1 thousand rubles, in apart hotels - 7.5 thousand, and in apartments - 5.2 thousand rubles.
