Russian Ambassador to Turkey Alexei Erkhov believes that the rejection of the all-inclusive system in Turkish hotels can cause problems with payment for Russian tourists due to the use of payment cards.
Earlier, Ertan Ustaoglu, president of the Association of Small Hoteliers of Turkey, noted that the all-inclusive system leads to the fact that tourists practically do not leave the hotel and constantly eat, which negatively affects both their health and the disclosure of the tourist potential of the country. Chairman of the Association of Hoteliers and Managers of the Mediterranean, Kaan Kavaloglu, also proposed to abandon this system and move to an option where tourists can choose only those services that they really need. As an example, he cited the possibility of staying in a hotel “without alcohol”.
In his opinion, tourists, in turn, will require a significant reduction in prices for accommodation in hotels, because they will have to pay extra for food. "Will they start 'voting with their feet'?" Will hoteliers accept additional costs? And by the way, how will the calculation take place? Our Mir payment cards are not functioning. Alternative systems come and go. In general, all these issues require careful calculations, the diplomat said.
