What is the price of good service?
Spending a holiday in a hotel, you rarely think about how much it costs the hotel owners to work qualified staff. The portal Croatian Times published data from which it follows that on average for a month an employee of a five- or four-star hotel in 2010 in the Dubrovnik-Neretvan district received about 780 euros. Staff of three- and two-star hotels earn a little less per month – 658 euros. In 2010, premium hotels in Croatia employed 6% fewer workers than the previous year. Hoteliers are very concerned about the process of staff reduction, as it can seriously and negatively affect the quality of service. The crisis did not affect Croatian architects. In Zagreb, it is planned to build a hotel for intellectuals, where guests will be waiting for a virtual lecture hall, scientific conferences and art exhibitions.
