“Tourist card”: in Russia will work the scheme of cashless payments among foreigners
A Tourist Card will be created in Russia for non-cash payments of foreign citizens.
The head of the Ministry of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov on December 26 at a meeting with the tourism industry said: “To increase the incoming tourist flow, it is necessary to create a Tourist Card, thanks to which foreign citizens will be able to pay in a cashless way.”
Among the strategic issues of the industry, Reshetnikov also called the restart of the electronic visa system for foreigners.
On December 15, Deputy Foreign Minister Yevgeny Ivanov announced the readiness of the unified electronic visa system for foreigners, its launch will be discussed by the Russian government in 2023.
