The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works reported that the Cypriot authorities plan to review the epidemiological requirements for tourists from Russia on a weekly basis.
This follows from the amendments that the Council of Ministers made to the action plan for the gradual resumption of flights and the opening of airports. It will be effective from March 1.
Since March 1, Cyprus has lifted travel bans for residents of 56 countries, including Russia. They will not be required to undergo a two-week quarantine upon arrival on the island, but will be required to take tests for the coronavirus before departure and upon arrival.
From April 1, the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control plans to classify states by color categories: green, orange, red. The Ministry of Health of Cyprus will announce on a weekly basis which group a country belongs to - from the situation with COVID-19. When the color changes, the entry rules for travelers will change.
