China Allows Tourist Groups to Enter
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China informs that from March 31, the provision of travel agencies and online tour operators of services for the entry of foreign tourist groups and bookings “air ticket + hotel” is restored.
On March 25, Artur Muradyan, Vice President of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), predicted that visa-free travel of tourist groups to Russia and China will begin before the end of May.
Since March 15, China has resumed issuing all types of visas for foreigners, which was stopped due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Vice-President of the Alliance of travel agencies of Russia Alexander Mkrtchyan noted that among Russians is expected a huge deferred demand for travel to China. He believes that the Russians will go to the so-called sea China – Hainan. Subsidies are currently expected from the Chinese government for flights to the island.
