When will Russians be able to fly to Turkey without testing for coronavirus?

The Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) reports that Turkey from May 26 will not require arriving tourists to test negative for the coronavirus.

Russian airlines received a new telegram from the Turkish Civil Aviation Authority. It states that airlines will not be able to allow passengers on board without negative tests for the coronavirus until May 26.

The test must be done no earlier than 72 hours before the flight to Turkey. Passengers under 6 years of age do not need a certificate.

"Despite the deadline, the orders of the Turkish authorities may change," the association said.

Earlier it was reported that certificates with a negative PCR test for the coronavirus arriving in the country will have to present before the end of March.

Turkey has introduced a requirement for certificates for coronavirus on entry on 30 December 2020 in connection with the spread of the “British strain” of coronavirus. The document is needed when boarding the plane, in case of its absence, the passenger is not allowed on board.
