When will restrictions on flights to Crimea be lifted?
The head of the Ministry of transport Vitaly Saveliev in an interview with Naila Asker-zade in the program “Vesti” on the channel “Russia 1” said that the restrictions on flights to the Crimea will be removed after obtaining the appropriate permission of the Ministry of defense of the Russian Federation.
“We are working closely with the Ministry of Defence. You see, we are extending the restrictions on flights to the south of the Russian Federation for two weeks, because we are watching the situation. As soon as we're allowed, it's all revealed and made up. We hope so.”
In the absence of air communication with the peninsula, the number of trains in this direction is increasing. In 2022, the railway will transport 2.3 million people to Crimea (against 1.1 million a year earlier).
Restrictions on flights to Simferopol and another 10 cities in the south and central part of the Russian Federation introduced Rosaviatsiya in February, they have already been extended 19 times.
