When will the beaches open in Sochi?

Director of the Department of resorts and tourism of the administration of Sochi Svetlana Batyaykina said that Sochi They promise to launch beaches from June 1 – this will affect 65 beach areas that belong to sanatoriums, and only if the requirements of Rospotrebnadzor are met.

From June 1, the authorities plan to resume the regime of admission of tourists to the city, closed for quarantine in connection with the coronavirus on March 28. At the same time, admission will begin with sanatoriums that have a medical license.

“From 1 June, sanatoriums will be opened under conditions of stable epidemiological conditions. And, accordingly, now the focus is on the preparation of those beaches of sanatorium organizations with a medical license, which will resume their activities from June 1. All other beaches will be opened in stages.”

On the beach will be able to get travelers who arrived in the city on a sanatorium-resort tour.

At the same time, beaches and sanatoriums in order to open, will need to receive the conclusion of Rospotrebnadzor, that is, in compliance with all sanitary standards. For example, sunbeds should be placed so that it is possible to observe social distance.

At the same time, the city continues to prepare for the beach season. At the moment, the readiness of beach areas is about 80-90%. In total, Sochi has 190 beaches, of which 82 municipal beaches and 108 are owned by sanatoriums and hotels.

Now the bottom is being cleaned on the beaches, rescuers are being trained. According to local experts from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the beaches of Sochi, which are preparing to open from June 1, are 60% ready for safety.

Meanwhile, Russian tour operators are preparing for the summer tourist season. Among the favorites of demand are Sochi and Anapa.
