When will WHO approve Satellite V?
Hans Kluge, WHO Regional Director for Europe, said Sputnik V could be recognized in the first quarter of 2022.
It is then that the head office of the organization will examine the dossier on the Russian drug. Kluge reminded that the health sector should not affect politics.
Currently, Sputnik V is approved for use in 71 countries; according to the official website of the vaccine, its effectiveness is 97.6%.
WHO has not yet officially recognized the drug, but many resort countries let tourists immunized with it: Turkey, Albania, Bulgaria, Egypt, Cyprus, Greece and others.
