Combined tours in Russia and abroad: what routes are tour operators preparing?
Tour operator FUN&SUN is studying the possibility of starting combined tours to the Krasnoyarsk Territory-Tyv-Khakassia and Buryatia-Mongolia in the summer of 2023.
Trips to Dagestan, Tatarstan, Kamchatka, Tyumen, which were in demand in the summer, will also be preserved.
Deputy General Director of the travel company Alexander Sirchenko said: In addition to Kamchatka, Sakhalin, Primorye, where they launched flight programs, we are negotiating with Khabarovsk. I do not know whether it will work out or not, it is important to form a good tourist product <...> we are negotiating with the Krasnoyarsk Territory. They have long wanted, since there are interregional projects “Yenisei Siberia” and “Siberian Holidays”, which unite three subjects – Tyva, Khakassia, Krasnoyarsk Territory.
As Sirchenko noted, many Far Eastern regions have potential, but “it needs to be revived, filled with vivid emotions, saturated with event events and make prices affordable.”
On interregional Far Eastern routes there is a problem with long crossings, which can reach 6 hours. FUN&SUN proposes to connect small aircraft and helicopter transportation to the implementation of charters through a subsidy mechanism.
If we talk about foreign trips, the tour operator is working on the issue of creating combined routes "Buryatia plus Mongolia".
If the countries of Southeast Asia are more or less open to us, it would be possible to make transcontinental charters: they fly to the Far East, tourists spend 2-3 days there, and then fly to one of the Southeast Asian countries. Now Mongolia is actively entering our tourist market, so the issue of connecting the charter to Buryatia with Mongolia is being worked out. But these are projects that we are still considering.”
