Crimea for the May holidays: many hotels have already closed sales
The demand for holidays in Crimea for the May holidays is higher than in previous years, thanks to the closure of borders of many countries and the cashback program.
Boris Zelinsky, head of the Crimean branch of the Russian Union (PCT) of the travel industry, said: In the conditions that there are practically no alternatives, and that cashback stimulates trips around the country, the demand for May holidays in Crimea is very high. Many hotels have already stopped selling for the period.”
First of all, we bought places in 4-5* hotels, which are “scarcely lacking” in Crimea, housing on the peninsula can still be found, mainly in the private sector, but the cost of rent will grow.
There are practically no free rooms on the southern coast of Crimea. In particular, in the largest five-star sanatorium and resort complex of the peninsula Mriya Resort & SPA (Yalta), the agency confirmed 100% load.
You can still find the number, for example, in the traditionally less busy Feodosia. So, the loading of "Scarlet Sails" 4* at the beginning of May is 42%.
The Ministry of resorts of Crimea says that when checking into a hotel or sanatorium, tourists can ask for the results of the test for COVID-19, this condition must be clarified in advance.
Most coronavirus ogianisms were canceled in early spring. Now mass events are prohibited, in public places there is a masked regime, restaurants, cinemas and museums work with a restriction on the number of visitors, hostels are closed.
In 2020, Crimea received 6.3 million tourists, 15% less than 2019.
The head of Rostourism, Zarina Doguzova, is confident that the Crimea will be able to receive 10-15% more tourists in 2021 than in the “predictable” 2019.
