The resort "Rosa Khutor" postponed the start of the ski season due to warm weather

According to the Telegram channel of the resort, in December Sochi It was abnormally warm, with minimal snowfall. Due to unsuitable temperature conditions, it was not possible to start the artificial snowmaking system at full capacity to ensure sufficient snow cover.

The safety and comfort of guests remains a top priority. Therefore, the resort decided to postpone the opening of the ski season to December 29.

The press service of the resort "Rosa Khutor" reported that the owners of ski passes for the period from 19 to 28 December will receive detailed instructions for refund by e-mail.

Despite the fact that the ski slopes are not yet open, the rest of the infrastructure is functioning at the resort:

Hotels and accommodation.
Cable cars to the top of Rosa Peak (2320 m).
Restaurants with panoramic mountain views.
Photo zones.
Ice rink.
The suspension bridge.
Rodelban attraction.
Swing over the abyss.
SPA zones.

The winter season officially started on December 1. The launch of the ski slopes was scheduled for December 19, subject to stable weather.
