Varadero resort to open to Russians from April 1

Since April, Russian airlines have been allowed to operate 7 flights a week to Varadero Airport (Cuba).

This was reported on March 26 by the Association of Tour Operators of the Russian Federation (ATOR).

The Office for the Prevention of Importation and Spread of Coronavirus Infection in Russia has decided to increase the number of regular flights to Cuba from April 1 (up to seven flights per week on the Moscow-Varadero route).

The Embassy of Cuba in Russia said that the resort is ready to accept Russians, providing them with a comfortable rest in safe epidemiological conditions.

The entry of organized tourists to the resort of Varadero will be held according to similar protocols, as is now the case when visiting the island of Cayo Coco.

Russians must present a certificate of negative PCR test for coronavirus, which was made 72 hours before the flight departure. Upon arrival in Cuba, another COVID-19 test is done and the result is ready in 24 hours.
