ATOR Executive Director Maya Lomidze announced the forecasts for the results of three summer months and named the leaders in outbound and domestic tourism.
During the three months of the summer of 2023, at least 14.1 million tourists will rest at mass southern resorts of Russia, and 10 million in two tourist megacities.
Top 5 summers. Domestic tourism:
Krasnodar Territory - 10 million
Moscow - 6.4 million
St. Petersburg - 3.5 million
Crimea - 3.1 million
Kavminvoda - 1 million
Tourists are interested in Dagestan, Karelia, Samara region, Tatarstan. A surge in tourism in Khakassia, Tuva, Krasnoyarsk Territory.
Russia is the cheapest tourist destination in terms of the average check: the average check for tours in Russia in August was only 79.8 thousand rubles.
In outbound tourism, according to forecasts of ATOR analysts, according to the results of three summer months, the TOP will be as follows:
Turkey 2.5 million tourists, of which 1.6 million – to the resorts of Antalya, about 530 thousand – to Istanbul, about 250 thousand – to the Aegean coast of Turkey.

Abkhazia approximately 1.2 million
UAE – about 300 thousand tourists,
