Lithuania opens to Russians from March 31, 2022

According to the visa provider VFS Global, from February 16, 2022, visa centers will be available. Lithuania start accepting applications for Schengen visas for all purposes of travel.

Starting from 31 March 2022, citizens can enter the territory of Lithuania if they have a valid Schengen visa and if they present a negative PCR test (made no more than 72 hours before arriving in Lithuania) or a certificate of vaccination with a vaccine recognized in Lithuania. That is, Lithuania can be visited by vaccinated and unvaccinated Russians.

Russian vaccines are not recognized in the EU, and vaccinated Russians enter on a common basis, just as unvaccinated Russians enter on a PCR test.

When submitting documents, it is necessary to confirm that entry into Lithuania will be no earlier than 31 March 2022, regardless of the purpose of the trip.

Lithuania’s visa centers are located in 25 Russian cities, including Moscow and St. Petersburg.

From February 5, people in Lithuania will no longer need to show a national certificate to access indoor public places, including tourist facilities, bars and restaurants, cultural, entertainment and sports facilities.

You can get to Vilnius with a transfer in Helsinki, London, Warsaw or Istanbul.
