Sochi will attract tourists and investments in the region thanks to the international poker tournament

From 20 to 31 May 2017, the international poker tournament PokerStars Championship Sochi will be held in Sochi.

 

Marina Bludyan, Chairman of the Public Council of the Non-Profit Partnership for the Development of Intellectual Games “League of Poker Lovers”, hopes that holding the International Poker Tournament in Sochi will be an excellent advertising campaign to attract tourists to the region.

 

Speaking at a press conference dedicated to the International Poker Tournament, she noted that the importance of holding such a tournament in Sochi is incredibly great.

 

The tournament will be held for the first time in Sochi on May 20-31. “Poker tournaments like this increase the tourist flow by tens of percent. It’s not just the players who come, their coaches, their fans, their families. 3 thousand players come to the game, and with them another 10 thousand other visitors, said Marina Bludyan.

 

“Do not forget about advertising. This tournament will be advertised in 70 countries, and then in 70 countries of the world will be broadcast this tournament, where everyone will see the beauty of Sochi. I am sure that this will attract not only additional tourists, but also new events. This is a huge action for the region, Bludyan said.

 

 

“We are very proud that our region has been chosen. This means that Sochi meets a high international standard, where you can hold a tournament. In addition, imagine that for a week the region will receive 500 million rubles and taxes will receive 120 million rubles. This is a very profitable event, she said.
