One in three Russian travelers (33%) are afraid of being unconnected while traveling, especially when traveling abroad.

The lack of Internet or mobile communication can cause serious inconvenience: it is impossible to contact loved ones in emergency situations or use online services. For foreign travel, this problem becomes even more acute.

To stay in touch abroad, tourists often use mobile communication. Most people prefer SIM cards. So, 47% of them buy SIM cards from local operators, another 37% connect roaming on a home SIM card, and 12% use a virtual eSIM.
