Norway lifts quarantine for all travellers from January 26
The Norwegian authorities decided to cancel the quarantine for all arriving in the country from January 26, regardless of the status of vaccination and the drug that was vaccinated against coronavirus infection.
Following the recommendation of the National Institute of Public Health, we are abolishing the entry quarantine requirement as it is no longer considered necessary for infection control. The rule will enter into force on 26 January 2022.”
First of all, the changes will affect tourists who have not been vaccinated or have used a vaccine that is not on the list approved by the World Health Organization (WHO).
“In order to enter Norway, a PCR negative or express covid test not earlier than 24 hours before entering the country will be required. Travellers are required to undergo another test on arrival or within 24 hours of arrival. In case of a positive test, the passenger needs to go to self-isolation, the press service of the government explained.
Previously, all foreigners vaccinated with a vaccine not on the WHO approved list had to comply with a 10-day quarantine in addition to testing.
