Spain's national strike could create problems for airports in April

A wave of protests is raging across the globe. This time the protests are planned in Spain.

Spanish unions are planning a strike, which could lead to the closure of all airports in the country. Estimated strike dates are April 22-25. This is the time of the Catholic Easter, during which the Spaniards themselves, and not only thousands of foreign tourists, actively travel.

Airport workers are outraged by the impending partial privatization of the state-owned corporation that operates the airports.

The last strike, which seriously hampered the lives of passengers at Spanish airports, took place in December 2010. The Spanish government even declared a state of emergency, as the unrest almost paralyzed the movement in the country. To somehow solve the situation, it was necessary to involve the military, who took control of the airports.

According to the Spanish media, the upcoming strike should be more civilized. This time, the police warned the authorities in advance. In addition, firefighters and loaders plan to strike in April, which should reduce the scale of possible disasters.
