Huge shark off the coast of Australia
A huge hammer shark weighing 1,200 kg. and 5 meters long was caught off the east coast of Australia.
She swallowed another small shark, which was already on the hook and thus fell into the nets of a small fishing boat 4 nautical miles from Evans Head in northern New South Wales.
Famous shark hunter Vic Hyslop from the town of Harvey Bay bought it and this week is going to transport the monster to Queensland, where it may soon become a tourist attraction.
A 5-meter shark is longer than an average passenger car, and its womb may well accommodate a family of several people!
The researchers established an approximate age of the shark, which is 40 years.
In an interview, Mr. Hyslop said that he had not decided where to place the exhibit, but confirmed that he had to catch even larger sharks!
