Rest in the Crimea on bitcoins: the Ministry of Finance proposed to allow the calculation of cryptocurrency
Deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Alexei Moiseev proposes to allow cryptocurrency settlements on the territory of Crimea. He believes that this could promote foreign tourism.
“That people who were in the Crimea, were not persecuted in their homeland, because they paid there with cards, you could think, and make some exceptions,” – said the Deputy Minister.
Alexei Moiseev decided to remind that there is no ban on the use of cryptocurrency in Russia, and it is impossible to prohibit and “pretend that there are none.”
There is information that a bill to ban cryptocurrency, relating to its turnover, can be submitted to the state Duma in September this year. People will continue to buy the same bitcoins in cafes for cash, and that’s something we should rule out. Within the white field - trade, and if you earn - pay tax, - said the Deputy Minister.
