Hotels in Crimea are waiting for the influx of guests from June 20: announced prices and new trends

Crimean hotels began to treat the tourist season with cautious optimism.

If the forecasts of the “launch” of the summer season from the local authorities come true (the season is scheduled for June 15), i.e. if there is no “explosive” increase in the incidence of disease, then tourists and hotels have a chance to take advantage of the real high season of this summer, which in Crimea traditionally begins on June 20.

In this case, the tourist business of the Crimea will be able to work out winter expenses, and tourists - take a break from "self-isolation".

The main self-isolation in the Crimea was removed on May 18, but the resort infrastructure was not launched. According to the authorities, the number of people crossing the border of the peninsula has increased in two days, and officials believe that it is necessary to increase the capacity of the observators.

Owners of small hotels in social networks deny the influx of tourists, and talk about serious control by the authorities over compliance with quarantine bans and heavy fines for their violation. And the locals open the beach season - this week
full of vacationers.

The Crimean authorities declared their position as follows: “If there is no explosive contamination before June 15, then we can talk about the launch of domestic tourism,” Aksenov said. In general, the official believes, the risks that the season will not take place at all, while great.

Hotels of the Crimea still relate to the situation with restrained-optimistic forecasts. There are few tourists yet, because the season has not yet come - it traditionally starts in Crimea from about June 20. There are reservations, but all preliminary, canceled, with the reservation that if the authorities allow and if the epidemiological situation allows, says A. Kazin, co-owner of one of the hotels. He stressed that the position of the authorities of the peninsula is of great importance for the success of the season.

As for prices for accommodation in hotels in the Crimea, they are still at the level of 2019. “Prices will not be lower. If tourists are afraid to go to the Crimea, it is certainly not because of the prices. If they are not afraid, a large influx is predicted and prices will rise.”

As an example, he cited the cost of accommodation in an average mini-hotel for 20 rooms: prices start from 1’500 for a room without breakfast per day, and up to 3 people can be accommodated in the room, i.e. in general, the person goes in a wave of budget. “But it depends on the season and the type of room. There are rooms for 2'500 a day. In my hotel, each room has its own balcony, where guests usually eat. Naturally, August is the most expensive price.”

According to him, the success of the season for each of the accommodation facilities depends on the availability of parking - it is assumed that most of the tourists do not want to fly by plane, and prefer to go to the Crimea by their own car. We hope that the capacity of the roads at the entrance to the bridge will not become a limiter of the tourist flow.
