UAE hotels hold sales for Russians due to lack of Chinese
The troubled situation in Southeast Asia due to the coronavirus has increased the demand of tourists for vacations in alternative regions, primarily in the United States. UAE.
UAE hotels, which feel the decline of Chinese tourist flow, provide solid discounts, reaching up to 20% of the previous price, and give special offers and upgrades.
Tour operators report that the Emirates in general and Dubai in particular are one of the destinations where tourists will rebook canceled tours to Hainan.
Now all Russian tourists from the resort were taken out.
Most tourists do not abandon their planned vacation and rebook tours to China for alternative destinations. In the leaders of overbooking preferences - Turkey. UAE. Thailand, - said representatives of the tour operator Tez Tour.
The flight program in the UAE in winter is based on daily flights to Air Arabia, and the cost of tours to the UAE for the next dates in February starts from 28’400 rubles.
According to D. Harutyunov, director of the tour operator Art-Tour, Dubai hotels are ready to provide discounts from 10 to 20%, depending on the hotel, and “bonuses” for tourists.
There is one small “but”: according to an expert who recently returned from the UAE, Chinese tourists who found themselves in the Emirates at the time of quarantine are in no hurry to return to their homeland. We see cases of multiple extensions of accommodation in UAE hotels by Chinese tourists. This is especially true for families – that is, tourists are trying to “sit” abroad during an unfavorable period, despite the fact that the Chinese in the Emirates have also become fearful.
If we talk about the “reorientation” of tourists, it is difficult to estimate it as a percentage. “We see two opposite trends among tourists, some of which generally postpone travel anywhere until the situation improves. However, there are undoubtedly customers who say “we planned a trip to Asia, but now we want to go where it is safe” and we often hear such motivation.
