From June 10, tour operator Pegas Touristik will stop sending tourists Egypt.
General Director of the tour operator Anna Podgornaya. Each tourist who purchased a tour with departure after this date will be individually operated, we have a number of offers, including a full refund.
The reason for the cancellation of flights is not reported, but, according to experts, the probable cause is an emergency at the Aladdin Beach Resort hotel and the reaction of Rostourism: a child born in 2014 died there due to an “unknown disease”.
Rosturizm: The Egyptian prosecutor’s office is currently investigating. In this regard, and until the end of the investigation, the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Hurghada asks to recommend tour operators to exclude the direction of tourists to the Aladdin Beach Resort hotel.
In accordance with the Law of the Russian Federation dated 07.02.1992 No 2300-1 “On Protection of Consumer Rights”, the consumer has the right to a service that will be safe for life and health of the consumer. The same provisions are in the Rules for the provision of services for the sale of a tourist product, approved by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of 18.07.2007 No. 452, according to which, "the services included in the tourist product, and the process of their provision should be safe for life, health, property of the consumer."
The sale of a tourist product, including the transportation of tourists from the territory of the Russian Federation by air to the cities of Egypt, with the exception of Cairo, does not comply with the provisions of the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of November 8, 2015 No. 553 “On Certain Measures to Ensure the National Security of the Russian Federation and Protect Citizens of the Russian Federation from Criminal and Other Illegal Acts”.
Such actions by tour operators can threaten the life and health of Russians, because they do not guarantee protection from possible illegal actions.
On June 3, Rosturizm in a letter confirmed the previously announced position that any delivery of tourists to Egypt except direct flights to Cairo is a violation of the Decree, which established restrictions.
