Balloon flights

In Turkey balloon flights in Cappadocia are gaining popularity. If earlier tourists came to this part of the country to look at the unique caves, now the purpose of visits is exclusively balloon flights.

Travel companies are pleased with this surge of interest. Groups are brought to local hotels at 5-5.30am and then taken to the site where the flight begins. About 6 hours the balloon rises to a height of one thousand to one and a half thousand meters. During this time, travelers see the landscapes of Cappadocia in the rays of the rising sun – a truly unforgettable sight. Due to the fact that the ball rises very slowly, tourists can see the amazing caves and valleys.

There are 16 companies that organize air tours in the region. At the same time in the air can be up to 70 balls. The capacity of balloons varies from 3 to 36 people. The average cost of such a flight is 100-200 euros.

Cappadoki is a region of Turkey, located mainly on mountains of sedimentary origin and on Ingimbrit deposits that appeared as a result of a volcanic eruption about 3-9 million years ago. Today, the Cappadoca Mountains are picturesque columns and stone forms in the form of towers.
