After the World Cup 2018, growth of domestic and inbound tourism is expected
Rostourism and tourism operator Intourist have prepared a document on cooperation in connection with the preparation and holding of the World Cup. The head of the company V. Topolkarayev believes that after the end of the competition, tourism will grow.
Such events stimulate the interest of tourists to rest in Russia, both during the event and after. Moreover, we are talking not only about guests from other countries who, having visited our country on the occasion of the event, return here again just to see the sights and relax. We are also talking about our compatriots. After events of this level, there is an increase in the interest of Russians to travel around their country, the expert noted.
An example is the increase in tourist flows within the country after the Olympics in Sochi. And even three years after the Olympics, the flow of tourists to Sochi is constantly increasing.
