The index of tourist attractiveness of Russian regions is presented

Consulting company "KB Strelka" has calculated the index of tourist attractiveness of the regions of the country.

Its specialists, using artificial intelligence, counted texts in social networks about trips around our country, and distributed them according to their emotional coloration.

Depending on the total number of mentions and the degree of emotionality of posts, the regions are divided into 4 categories: “special”, “known”, “modest”, “inconspicuous”. Reports on 82 subjects of the Russian Federation were analyzed; Moscow, St. Petersburg and Sevastopol were excluded from the overall analysis.

Among the "special" included the regions, which are often written reviews, and positive prevail, or are comparable in number to neutral: Yakutia, Udmurtia, Chechnya, Khakassia.

The “known” places are popular among tourists, but in their case the percentage of negative assessments is higher: Krasnodar and Stavropol Territory, Crimea, North Ossetia - Alanya, Tatarstan, Chuvashia, Mari El, Moscow Region, Karelia, Komi, Perm Territory, Krasnoyarsk Territory, Altai Republic and Altai Territory, Kamchatka.

“Modest” became the regions, which write small, but often positive words: Kalmykia, Dagestan, Mordovia, Tuva, Khabarovsk Territory.

All other regions of Russia are on the list of “inconspicuous”: they are spoken about less often and more with a negative assessment.
In 44% of cases, tourists who posted negative posts were unhappy with the infrastructure.
